[MD-sorular] MD-sorular Toplu Mesajı, Sayı 427, Konu 1

Merhaba,

Okuduğum bir ders notunda şöyle giriş yapmış:

 

“• The unknown object in Bellman equations is not a

number but an entire function, namely the value

function. I.e., the Bellman equation is a

functional equation. (Aynen diferansiyel veya integral  denklemler gibi)

• To study the properties of solutions to equations,

in which the unknown object is a function,

mathematicians have invented functional

analysis. We need to study it.

• The key idea is to regard functions as elements in

a vector space of functions, and to regard e.g.

the right-hand side of the Bellman equation as an

operator on this space. Functional analysis

provides a theory for vector spaces and their

operators. “

 

Buna gore operator vektör uzaylarından vektör uzaylarına tanımlanmış bir fonksiyon gibi algılıyorum. 

“Functional” tabiri de operatörün fonksiyon uzaylarına özel bir hali gibi duruyor. Fonksiyon uzayları vektör uzayları olmalı ki soyutlama çalışsın.

Yani normal analize gore 2. Derece bir analiz. Aynen 2. Derece “predicate calculus” gibi.

Yazdıklarınızdan ve yukarıdakilerden bunu doğru algıladıysam doğru yolda olabilirim.

Merhaba

 

Fonksiyonel analizin temel amacı, adı üzerinde fonksiyonellerin analizi yapmaktır. Fonksiyonel, bir operatördür. Operatör ise bir vektör uzayından aynı cisim üzerinde tanımlanmış diğer bir vektör uzayına tanımlı bir fonksiyondur. Fonksiyonel analizde metrik uzaylar, normlu uzaylar vb. gibi daha genel uzaylar ele alınır. Kabaca bu  şekilde özetleyebiliriz.
